Activities that we would like to have at Gingerbread Acres:
Birthday Parties Field Trips 4-H Events Pony Club Family Fun Days Fun Horse Shows Clinics
Brad and Amy Barnett's daughter, Virginia, is in the St. Johns County Young Riders 4-H club, so we plan to open the grounds to 4-H activities.
Virginia is also in the Pony Club, so our facility will be a place that Pony Club would be welcome to meet.

THE GROUNDS
Since our acquisition of the property on June 29th, 2009, we have been working diligently to clean
up. We have cut down the overgrown vegetation around the barn, partially pressure washed the
inside and outside of the barn, and mowed the front of the property, repaired the perimeter
fencing, and repaired the front gate so that it would close.
We are also moving fence: the middle part of the property was divided into paddocks. We
decided that this was not the most efficient use of the property, as we would like to have
maintained pastures. Therefore, we are removing the fencing from in between the paddocks in
order to make that area one pasture. We now have a gate for the middle pasture and are
continuing to remove fencing. We now have two pastures in the back area instead of what was one
pasture and five separate paddocks.
We have begun adding another arena in the open area beside the barn. It is our plan to have
three arenas and a round pen as soon as possible.
We plan to add electric fencing to further secure the property.
We plan to add a trail around the property with some cross-country jumps and other obstacles.
The pastures will also be available for riding, with cross-country jumps set up.
These are just a few of our plans. More details to come....
THE BARN AND APARTMENTS
We are in the process of renovating the bathroom and office area of the barn. The bathroom is
almost complete, and is in use.
The apartments have been renovated and are currently rented.
